World Travels
Travel has been an integral part of my life, enriching my music and worldview. I've journeyed across continents, from Europe with GBYSO in 1979 to my upcoming trip to Thailand in July 2024. Each destination, whether it was Mexico in '87, the US in a VW Vanagon in '92, Germany in '95, Ireland in '96, England, Egypt, and Israel in '99, South Korea, China, Vietnam, or my repeat visits to Ireland, Scotland, and South Korea, has left an indelible mark on my art and soul.

Family Heritage
Family is the cornerstone of my life. My parents, both Harvard University alumni, instilled in me the values of education and perseverance. My father's medical background and my mother's Irish heritage have greatly influenced my character. The tragic loss of my older brother at 48 and the accomplishments of my siblings, one living in Italy and another as a doctor at MGH in Boston, remind me of the preciousness of life. My two sons, Parker and Richard, and my beloved wife Emily, whom I met online in 2003, complete my world. Our love story, a testament to dedication and sacrifice, has been the bedrock of my personal life.
